I just wanna say the final scene of the movie is probably my favorite thing animated from the series. Hella beautiful

This movie comes out in like 3 weeks and there still isn’t even an English trailer. Some of my friends where shocked when I told them that a new my hero movie was coming out at the end of February in US. That shouldn’t happen.

Box office of the second movie, outrun the first one. 1,73 billion yen ($ 15,8 million), to 1,72 billion yen ($ 15.7 million) that's not much of course, but it's important psychological number.

Notwithstanding that, I have not seen the film, but I spoiled the ending,

the idea of Deku who temporarily gives the OFA to someone else in itself would not be such a wrong idea, after all the OFA has the fact of being a Quirk that can be passed, the idea that in the future Deku may share it momentarily with others Shazam's power style is not bad to be honest. On the contrary, it settles well with the character of the Deku who knows how to find the strength in weak Quirks and encourages teamwork, unlike All Might, which is the hero of "enough for me, if I am there, everything is fine"

Just saw the movie in the theater yesterday. It was great! At least as good as the first one.

I know that everyone has probably been spoiled on everything in the movie by know, but I’m going to put my thoughts in spoiler tags anyway, just in case.

1) Overall this movie is integrated with the manga very well. Small details from the manga are called up in various instances to explain things which is great. The overall way that the movie is set up makes me think that it’s canon. So canon in fact that I think things in the movie may be referenced in the manga going foreword.

2) In a few cases the movie has characters do things that will almost certainly be either reference in the manga in the future, or either explain things going on in the manga that had not been explained before.

For example, in one scene Shoto applied what he learned from Endeavor about flashfire fist to his ice. This is a move that I’m sure Shoto will try and do in the manga as it is really obvious.

As another example we see in a different scene that Shigaraki spies on Hawks while he is performing an investigation on Nine. This explains why Shigaraki is so cautious with Hawks in the manga and wouldn’t meet with him.

3) Nine can’t steal OFA from Deku as the quirks in OFA are apparently separate quirks and he doesn’t have “space” for all of them. Nine makes a big deal about the fact that Deku can hold multiple quirks and calls him a “miracle”. This makes sense because Nine has a hard time using his quirks. I think this idea that Deku is special to be able to hold multiple quirks may show up in the manga.

4) The final fight is insanely awesome, and Bakugo with 100% full cowl is unbelievably strong. The fact that he doesn’t remember anything about receiving OFA is a bit convenient, but it when you really think about it that point would be unnecessary if Horikoshi wasn’t planning on referencing it in the manga somehow. He could just play it off as if the movie wasn’t really canon. I expect that Bakugo having used OFA will be reference in the manga in some capacity.

The visuals and animation are godly. Hats off to the studio for this, this needs to be nominated for the Oscar's. I forgive the studio for not going all out on the overhaul v. lemillion fight.

I’m conflicted on 1 end I loved the movie and especially it’s visuals. But when talking to my friends they said they didn’t like the movie and called it a waste because of all they could think about is “this is the reason the overhaul arc wasn’t great” and I kind of agree...

Meh...I had no problem with the Overhaul arc--that final fight between Deku and Overhaul was awesome. I susupect some folks have sour grapes because they prefer Mirio to Deku and wanted to see him have an epic battle: Instead they got screen shots. That's far more than he got in the manga so I'm perfectly fine with it. I think the anime teams did a great job with both the movie and Overhaul.

I liked the previous movie, so I was feeling good going into this one....
It started out pretty good, and the animation was good.

Spoiler: don't really want to ruin parts of it but I must complain

1) I felt that the main villain was a cheap knock-off of AFO.
2a) Passing OFA to Bakugo...
2b) Getting it back from Bakugo...
and...
2c) Making Bakugo FORGET he got it temporarily
Was cheap! Really cheap!
It makes the passing of OFA a trivial occurrence.

I would have enjoyed the movie a lot more though if it weren't for those concerns.
