No black lightening proving Zoro didn't use ADVANCED CoC to augement his attack. Even Basic CoC augments attack power (Ashura). It was suspected but Zoro's utilization of it in this instance shows just having CoC makes your attacks much stronger.

Lol, Kaido later quotes Zoro Haoshoku right after the attack. Obviously Zoro used advanced Haoshoku in this scene, and at first it was already level 2.

Level 2 Busoshoku Haki (Busou Koka - which is black hardening) already shoots lightning although on a smaller scale than Haoshoku Haki. This is visible since Dressrosa where all of Busou Koka's attacks released lightning, as well as in Luffy's fight against Katakuri, in these examples no Haoshoku user character infused him with attacks.

Oda just forgot to put the rays in this scene or there could be another explanation, or are you going to tell me that Zoro didn't even use Busoshoku and Kaido mentioned Haoshoku for nothing?
