I was joking but eh, in all seriousness, I feel Hitsugaya is very overrated. It's been a very long time since I read/watched Bleach but IIRC he has barely any development or depth and most of his character can be summarized as 'the cool guy' (pun not intended). Again, I only remember vaguely so feel free to correct me.

It's been a long time for me as well. I think his only real depth was how he cared about Hinamori but there was no real development in that field either. To be fair, for how much screentime he had, he really was still just a (very strong) background character. If I had to pick a favorite captain not including the traitors I think Kyouraku is the best.
