I remember the first time I had rendang, I was freaked out because the color and structure looked exactly like a human poop! I asked my mother what was that and she answered "rendang". Hesitated, I asked what it's made from and she answered it's made from beef. I gathered up my courage to eat it and... damn, IT IS DELICIOUS! Now, in my workplace which provides free lunches for their employees every work day, rendang is the constant menu for every Friday, and I am grateful for that.
