Watched the new episode. I liked the episode for what it was - a well directed hour of TV....but I'm not sure how I feel about what actually happened. I didn't see much point to Tyreese dying. And yes, I know there doesn't need to be a reason why someone dies in the zombie apocalypse, but usually it's for a reason; a consequence of something relevant to the story. It just seemed random and served as director-porn.

I agree gary....like it was a forced main death...we ended with beth dying.wtf....
I understand I can't pick and choose who dies....but ex.glen,so many time he should have died.
I just don't understand what Tyrese dying at this point brings to the story...maybe a carrol rage,maybe a sasha incident or even Judith missing her main man(crying uncontrollably...xD)

but,i think if they really wanted to shake it up....glen should have bit the dust at terminus....just me

Pretty much exactly what I thought throughout the episode. I liked the start, but eventually all the random "illusions" and repeat scenes felt annoying to me. A beautifully directed episode, but the content felt lacking after the midway point. Not sure what the point of this episode honestly was, besides the death. It felt like a very slow paced episode due to the heavy illusion and repeat scenes, and made it seem very heavy on trying to force nostalgia and reawakened feelings of the past (bringing in the Governor etc).

Not to mention how stupid it is that Tyrese died as a consequence of Noah running off being a stupid twat, and then he dies from a rookie mistake because, yes, he is a noob. Tyrese wasn't that cool to me, but he was a nice addition to the cast, to add variety. Now two "main" characters have died somewhat because of Noah, and I don't even know why I should give a shit about him... Damn...

Next week's episode looks to be what I expected as a start of the second half of the season...

Irrelevant random comment: Couldn't stand how bad Noah's actor was at crying. Holy shit he didn't even have teary eyes and he "cried" for eternity, and the act of crying itself was so poor, ugh.

Well, Tyreese leaves that void of not having a "moral center" of the show anymore. First it was Dale, then it was Herschel, and then it became Tyreese (and Beth occasionally). Wonder who will enter that role now...because it's clear that person is fucked

The Noah thing is really weird, yeah. He appears as this mechanism to get Beth free but that gets fucked up. Then they're hoping that his place is an area they can seek refuge in, but that didn't happen either. What's the point of him being alive? I guess TWD likes to get you invested in the characters before they destroy your soul, but I don't see much of a point of him being around anymore. There are enough characters.

Another filler episode. Pretty boring honestly. I guess something happened at the end, but it's so god damn obvious it's a trap.

Or a consequence relevant to a character that might influence the story later...but I think the goal was to chip away at the characters' resolve after Beth dying...the rain scene in the last episode was a sign that they managed to get their resolve going and continue to Washington...

So I guess we took away opposite things from this episode...because I don't think that it was well directed TV...the 'danger' moments are soo, soo tensionless and anticlimactic, that I sometimes genuinely cringe ...

And I felt some of those conversations were just dumb :/

I was thinking this may have been the reason aaron/Alexandria scouted rick's group...because of those calls....

They were still in Georgia then, there's no way they were scouting them that long ago.

All of the people that called were people who died in the first season, and then what snapped him out of it was when Lori called...you don't remember that?

last call I remember was the guy asking rick about lori's death,rick not answering and the guy hung up....
guess I better watch the next few epis after that...
