But do you drink it with ice too ? Because in restaurants it's impossible to have some without.

Awww, I'm sad to see that 'pop' is so far behind in the poll. Not surprised, of course, but just disappointed. My Midwesterners are not representing. :( Though I still generally use the word 'pop', I'm more conscious now of using it around people who call it something else. Usually, I'll go with 'soda' when I'm around them just to avoid the funny looks. :XD

As far as water goes, I usually drink either tap or bottled water without carbonation. It's much more common in the US to drink water without carbonation than with.
Pop just isn't as catchy as soda, for some reason. Maybe its because it sounds like a genre of music lol

The strangest term I have ever heard used to describe soft drink is coke.
Can you imagine being in a situation where that was misinterpreted?

"Hey do you want some coke?"
"No thanks I don't do drugs..." wth? lol

But do you drink it with ice too ? Because in restaurants it's impossible to have some without.
Yeah, I have had iced water. Honestly, I don't see it that strange. Usually its a situation where you just can't get water thats cool or cold enough.

What's pop?
Another colloquial term for soft drinks...like soda

Either way. In restaurants or any other time I'm drinking tap water, I usually have it with ice. Bottled water, I usually drink without ice.

For pop/soda/soft drinks, I also drink it either way. Anytime it comes from a fountain, I drink it over ice. If it's in a bottle/can, I usually just drink it straight unless it's warm. In that case, I'll pour it over ice. Oh! Another thing I really like to do is to put a pop/soda in the freezer for a little while just to get it a little bit slushy. So good! :love

Pepsi and Mountain Dew ftw.

I never take ice with fountain soda because I don't want the extra water I get from ice melting. Tastes bad when I'm near the end and after an hour or so. It's still good anyway.

As long as soda is not warm or hot, I'm happy enough. \o/ I could drink it all day long, but diabetes would occur, so I limit it. D:

Though I love Pepsi and Mountain Dew, I'm not averse to drinking Coca-Cola and to some extent Sprite.

I don't really like pop all that much, to be honest. The carbonation is kind of annoying and the taste isn't worth the amount of sugar or caffeine involved. I'd much rather eat my sugar than drink it.

Not to mention, it's so expensive when you go out to eat. I think water is just overall more satisfying and cheaper to boot. :s

I get made fun of for saying pop in Texas. :bored

Sprite is personally my favourite soft drink- mainly because it seems to actually 'quench' my thirst while Pepsi/Coke just make me thirstier. :3

My personal favourite is coke - drinking an ice-cold glass on sunny days is the best.
Still I agree with Queeny, if the coke isn't cold it makes me even more thirstier :3

It's usually called pop here in England or just referred to by the kind of pop it is.

Dr. Pepper. Not as acidic as Coke, but hits the spot nonetheless. Tastes great poured over ice. Can't call it pop though, that's what the elderly call it.

Soda because I'm not a pompous dickhead to be calling it pop and whatever else.
