Sukuna had realised the potential of Megumi's cursed technique but had also found resistance towards him. He wasn't a vessel but a cage like Yuji. So Sukuna waited for the right timing.

Yuji finger isn't healed. Sukuna punches Yuji through several buildings

Noticing the huge commotion, Takaba and Maki heads over. Realising this Sukuna comments that insects spring up out of nowhere at all times and he summons a giant nue

Sukuna makes Nue send huge lightnings all over the place. But Hana arrives at the mean time.

Poor Yuji and protagonists

Not only Kenjaku fucked them up, now Sukuna is doing it too. I honestly wonder whether Yuji will get a shonen hero powerup soon…

Their best be now would be for Hana to free Gojo. He is the only one who can do something here

Hana screams at Angel (for activating the purification light) saying it's Megumi but it says there's nothing it can do since Megumi right now has "The Fallen". It asks Hana to use the CT to peel off Sukuna & erase him. And she starts the chant.

Holy fuck, that Nue is enormoooous. Sukuna is on an entirely different league.
And Megumi was also normally able to suppress Sukuna? Eh, I don't really like that development too much as it makes Yuji far less interesting, but it does explain Sukuna's timing with Enchain.
That also means Megumi is not dead, though.

 

[Franz]

Sukuna gets peeled off as Hana chants through the trumpet. She screams Megumi belongs to her & just then a voice falls "I remembered" as Sukuna's markings slowly disappear from Megumi's body

Angel's CT seems to be incredible. Page 17 of the chapter (shown from Myamura on Twitter) depicts Sukuna being severely damaged and deformed by it, but I'm assuming it's not going to work. This will probably lead to Angel deciding to free Gojo, as her trump card fails.

Also, if the Shikigami of the TS Technique scale according to the user, and if Mahoraga was that strong in Megumi's body, then...

Megumi says "Thank you. It's okay now" to Hana who approaches and hugs Megumi despite Angel warning her not to & as she does, Sukuna's mouth widens as he tries to swollow Angel

This perfectly depicts what kind of fighter Sukuna is. From the looks of it, he's not the clean and untouchable guy Gojo is, but instead a disaster that will use all of his qualities to secure a victory - his lack of humanity sets him apart from his fellow strongest.
Satoru is probably going to lose to this guy for that exact reason, but I'm even more convinced now that the former is the strongest in the series, if we're talking about pure strength, ability, and talent.

A common theme is how Sukuna is one selfish bastard, and this fight proves that he will use every method to achieve his goals. Hana and Angel miscalculated. They should’ve released Gojo first. I hope they stay alive because otherwise I see no other method to release Gojo

Meaning: It's a Biblical refference which means A ladder or stairway connects Earth & the Heaven where God stands at the Top while Angels uses the ladder to ascend or descend

Well Yuji's toast, only way he survives this encounter is going to be outside intervention, like within a few seconds. Sukuna's strike not only punched through his chest but sent him through several buildings, and Yuji doesn't have reverse cursed technique for healing. He's going to die in seconds due to that blow.

Even IF Yuji now has insanely high cursed energy he's still toast (it would be plausible to explain that most of Yuji's cursed energy was basically withheld from him because it was constantly suppressing Sukuna) he's still toast.

Even IF Yuji is now essentially a suped-up Toji (plausible to explain that the effect of ripping Sukuna out of him counts as an insanely overpowered "heavenly restriction" because he went from OP cursed energy to zero) he's still toast.

I agree, he’s the protagonist kinda. However I’m almost certain Sukuna being removed from him maybe be the reason Yuji’s true power may unleash. So we’ll see!. Yuji is FUCKED right now.

If Sukuna succeeds in swallowing Angel. Gojo isn’t coming back at all. That may change the the entire trajectory of the story. Gojo is the one above all. If Yuji doesn’t get an awakening, idk how this will go for the good guys.

I don't think he will be able to assimilate it, Maki and Takaba will probably intervene, since they are already on the way.
