Only Nagato, which is the only blemish in an otherwise stellar arc.

:blush

Technically even obito lost to ihis talk no jutsu and was going to use rinne rebirth jutsu which nagato used and hence was going to commit suicide, so you can add obito in the mix also.
Now those are images that I am talking about. Great images bro.:super

Voted Gintama.

I thoroughly enjoyed pre-timeskip Naruto but Shippuuden was rather inconsistent, with a mediocre final arc that overstayed its welcome.

One area I think Naruto smashes Gintama in is the main antiheroes/villains. Kamui is meh, and emo boy Takasugi is even worse than Sasuke. Isaburo is awesome but not quite up there with Itachi, Nagato as he's not central enough to the story. Housen and Utsuro are pretty kickass but one lacks depth, and the other is under construction. Also Akatsuki >>> Tendoshu
The villains of naruto are probably the best villains that I have ever seen. I mean if you look at the members of akatsuki each member had there own hype and man they lived up to it. In the first season ddeidara defeated garra who is a kage and deidara is considered probably the weakest of the akatsuki member. Now akatsuki are the group one expected the spriggan 12 in FT were supposed to be. And not only that all the members of akatsuki had there backstory and own reason to join them. No doubt akatsuki are the big reason for naruto series success and popularity.

Too bad in the 4th great ninja war even the akatsuki members were treated as fodder members. I mean you have fatass choji beating kakuzu (man with 5 hearts and guy who even fought 1st hokage the god of shinobi) and kankuro defeated sasori (who killed 3rd kazekage considered to be strongest kazekage of all) and deidara (the guy who defeated garra his brother who is a lot stronger than him).

What's with the pokeball? My husband (who is a fan) says it's a fan I say it's copyright infringement. ;)
You know for some reason I like that crest a lot, it is simple if you look at it at first but its design is cool and the way uchihas wore it backwards in there clothes was pretty cool also.

Land of Waves Arc

Participants
Konohagakure: Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura, Hatake Kakashi
Kirigakure: Zabuza Momochi ,Haku, Tazuna, Inari

I've touched on some of the story arcs I feel were the show at its peak in my first 3 posts in this round (Along with being my favorites throughout the whole series's run), so this time I'll touch on other story arcs which I feel were also some of the story's best. Not exactly my favorites, but I know a huge portion of the fandom adored them. And what better way to kick this off than with the very beginning of everything? ;)

Synopsis
The first ever story arc for Naruto. We meet all the young ninja and are introduced to Team 7, kakashi, Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto. Team 7’s first mission brings them to the Land of Waves and quickly becomes dangerous. What initially started out as a bodyguard mission to escort Tazuna back to his home, the Land of Waves, quickly escalates into a mission where they're not protecting him from any ordinary enemies, but instead one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, Momochi Zabuza. What was initially ranked as a D-Class Mission has now turned into a B, or even an A-class mission, with the lives of Naruto's team at stake.
It being the first arc of the series also allows us to get a glimpse into the workings of ninjutsu, as well as seeing Bloodline Limits for the first time in the series.

The entire premise and precedent was set in this arc by explaining to the viewers how ninjas operate in this fictional world. Haku's a slave to Zabuza, but you can recognize that without Zabuza his life would be even more desolate. This whole arc perfectly encapsulates the arduous life of shinobi and that this universe takes the phrasing "dog eat dog" world to a new height. Zabuza is the epitome of ninja and how they're expected to operate in the Narutoverse and how at the end of the day they're just tools. But to them the only way to feel self-worth is to fulfill whatever job they're given and seeking that vindication is admirable to say the least.

The famous battle against Zabuza and Haku showed just a taste of what was to come.
For a gateway arc, this was pretty damn impressive. :blush

Kazekage Rescue Arc

Participants

Konohagakure: Uzumaki Naruto, Haruno Sakura, Hatake Kakashi,Might Guy, Hyuuga Neji, Rock Lee, TenTen
Sunagakure: Gaara, Temari, Kankuro, Chiyo
Akatsuki: Deidara, Sasori, Itachi (Fake), Kisame (Fake)

The last post I'll make in this round, about what I think was also a really good arc in the second part of the story :) Plus it involves my second favorite Akatsuki member, so I cant resist the chance to gush out over it :zomg Like the Land of Waves Arc in my previous post, it's the first story arc in Shippudden, following a 2 year timeskip at the end of the original series. Naruto leaves the village with Jiraiya to begin his training in order to become more powerful to save Sasuke from Orochimaru, however....he isn't the only one who's looking to improve himself over the 2 years...

Synopsis
Naruto, finally done with his training, goes back home to Konoha in tow with Jiraiya, eager to meet up with the rest of his friends who he hasn't seen in forever. Sakura, his teammate, had also taken herself under Tsunade's wing, and managed to become an accomplished Medical Ninja, along with improving her physical and combat abilities to the point of holding her own in battle. Neji had become a Jounin, and all of Naruto's other friends had become Chuunin level, leaving him behind in the Genin role. And in the Land of Wind just next door, Gaara had just become...the Kazekage.
Of course, with great power comes great responsibility :3c Struggling to be accepted by the villagers who shunned him his whole life, Gaara finds his life in immediate peril as he falls under the radar of the Akatsuki, who begin their all out assault in the search of Jinchuuriki. Their first target...the One Tail..

A battle breaks out on top of the Hidden Sand, where Deidara manages to defeat Gaara by placing the life of the villagers at stake, and capturing him in a surprise attack. Kankuro tries to follow after them to save his brother, but gets swiftly defeated by Sasori, who reveals himself as the one who made Kankuro's puppets. With Gaara kidnapped, Tsunade, who was about to dispatch Naruto and the others on a bodyguard mission, decides to send them to aid the Sand in saving their Kage. And to be on the safe side, she decides on sending Team Gai to back up Team Kakashi, well aware of the danger the Akatsuki poses.

After a series of engaging battles, with brilliant displays of teamwork, solid reveals and even heartfelt emotion, the climax of the arc ends with both Akatsuki members defeated, and Gaara safely retrieved.

A pretty solid arc if I do say so myself:verily We got to see most of our main characters resurface after a prolonged timeskip, plus we got to see our second duo of Akatsuki members after Itachi and Kisame, which gave us an inkling of what to expect as we went on forward with Shippudden :zomg
