Discussion Little-Known Games That You Absolutely Love?

I don't know how well-known these games are, but...

Whiplash (xbox) is hilarious xD The main charachers (especially their dialog) in the game remind me of the two main characters of a tv show called Psych

Pitfall - Beyond the Jungle (ps1) is also great.

Getting Up (pc). The main reason for me to like this game is probably because it has some similarities to Tony Hawk's games which I love. Instead of cool skating tricks you paint grafittis and beat up bad guys..

I don't think it is, but I HAVE heard very, very good things about it.

You should try it out! It starts in a very childish, innocent way...but grows to something BIG. And it´s really fun to play, nice plot twists and sidequests...

And the characters are beautifully drawn, and very charismatic...Feena owns (L)

I never played Grandia 2 and 3, though...heard they weren´t as good as the first one.

Sacrifice, a PC game from like... 2000? One of the best game EVVARRR. HEAR ME?
Also, Magic Sword for the SNES, super game. ^_^

I'm such a bitch otherwise though, usually play those superish superknown games.

There's a lot of great games and many I've never heard of. I'll try to list some ones not already listed hopefully...

Phantasmagoria. It's an old, horror PC game but when it first came out, it was pretty graphic and scary.

System Shock 2 (I haven't played 1). On the PC, it's one the best FPS ever! It's kind of a blend of a FPS and RPG. Half-Life was compared to this game so it might be well-known but it's a cult classic.

Dune 2. For the PC, one of the earlier RTS. Made my Westwood (Command & Conquer), it's based of the Frank Herbert novels.

Earthbound (I believe it's Mother 2 in Japan). One of my all time favortie RPGs, it's up there with Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and Xenogears. It's set in modern times and has to be the only game where you can fight "annoying old party man", "new age retro hippie", and "abstract art" (just to name a few). It's on the SNES

Battle Chess. One of my favorite NES games. You can't beat a game that combines chess and fighting.

Star Ocean: The Second Story. On the PS1, the item creation system was pretty unique and I liked the battle system.

Grandia I for PS1 is one of my favourite games ever

I love'd that game but I wasn't able to beat it because my second disc got scratched. I was so disappointed...

Hahahaha. System Shock 2!...my friend was horrid enough to NOT tell me that failure to hack things can result in explosions.

And I think somebody mentioned it before already, but Guilty Gear fighting games are awesome D:

I think Chrono Cross is overlooked because Square has bigger sales with FF. And chrono trigger was way more popular than CC.

I would have to say Xenogears, as many know of It's conceptual offspring Xenosaga but few know of the greatness of the original.

The Nippon Ichi Titles are a big one.

Phantom Brave, La Pucelle and even Disgaea. Games I loved that were "silent" hits.

Also chuck Guilty Gear XX The Midnight Carnival. Great game, not that much publicity imo.

Well they're abit famous but it's Yoshi's island and Kirby 64 that's epic! I still play my N64 more than I do on my xbox 360 :P

comic zone for genesis not only was the game good but the music was classic. and legend of dragoon for ps1

Phantom Dust for the Xbox changed my life. Between that and Morrowind, I haven't had to buy anymore games.

The three games for playstation that I could play forever are Battlehunter, Threads of fate, and especially Monster Rancher 2.
